Travel Diary 1 - Disneyland Paris

Before this post begins, I would like to clarify that I am sorry for not blogging for a while! I have been busy with school and I had other things to do. Hopefully I will get myself together and be more frequent with my posts. x
LETS GET STARTED! Phew, I can tell this is going to be a long post so grab a drink or a snack whilst you read this aha.

So, in January me and my sister got surprised that we are going to Disneyland! We both were over the moon, and I was counting down the days up until the day we were going to go there.

Ah, Disneyland, the place filled with sparkles and joy in the air, where you can become a child again, wear Disney clothes and not give a damn, in the post I will cover all the wonders and happiness of Disneyland.

We flew on the Good Friday, very early in the morning (we had to get up at 4am), as I drag myself out of bed I realised that we are going to have the time of our lives, my tired eyes suddenly clicked into this exciting energy that ran through my body.

When we arrived at Disneyland, we did the whole hog of going through passport control, getting in a taxi, checking in, blah, blah, blah. We stayed at the 'Hotel Cheyenne' hotel which was wild west themed, it was very cool and it felt so realistic! After unpacking we went to the shop to get the classic Disney ears, what is Disneyland without wearing some Disney gear?! We went to the park to take some artsy photos for Instagram (don't pretend you have never went outside just to take a photo). Not gonna lie, I am pretty proud of this photo I took of the castle.

The first ride I went on was the famous, Tower of Terror. I said to myself that I am going on every ride at Disney, which I did! However, I was going to chicken out on this ride, but it was too late, I was in the ride and I said to my Mum "I don't wanna do this anymore" and then we dropped. I cried for the whole ride (I am so embarrassing).

My birthday was on the Easter Sunday, which is the best to be honest because you can eat as much chocolate as it is Easter, and what it more better than spending it at the magical Disneyland?! Honestly, this was the best birthday as we went on my favourite rides, ate the best food and spending the whole day with my family! (Not at school luckily).

We went to 'Walts' which was vintage style, everything filled with the iconic Micky Mouse.
Micky Mouse was LITERALLY EVERYWHERE, the plates, the walls, the glasses, but to be fair, it is what made it so magical.

I also received a surprise birthday cake! But even better, it was an Ice cream cake, which tasted absolutely amazing, I had everyone's leftovers even though I was full.. Oops!

Not to mention, the fireworks was so fascinating, and is what made my trip. I sang along to every song and you can see the lift of joy in people's faces as they watched the stunning fireworks, the light in their eyes just shows that Disney is truly the best place on Earth.

If I didn't cover enough of my trip, here is a video of my trip which basically sums up the trip day by day and shows the rides I went on, etc. I think I may do more of these videos for my blog, maybe not enough confidence to post it on YouTube, anyways, enough with the ramble, enjoy the video.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Revision + Exam tips!

This dreadful part of the year is coming up, exam season. The word 'exam' sends a chill down my spine whenever I hear it and an instant ball of stress runs down my body.

In this blog post I will give tips about how to revise and other tips for the actual exam. This is just what helps me with tests and may not be for everybody but hopefully you may get something out of it! This is specifically or GSCE's but it may help for other tests too.

1. Revision Techniques
I will list a few revision techniques that help me a lot when revising which may help you too!

  • Highlighting really helps for me and I have heard it helps others. Bright and colorful work helps me remember as it really stands out in my brain. I also heard that writing in blue ink helps you too, I haven't tried but I may give it a go one day. Something that may help other people using color to sort out your revision notes, use 3 colours depending how well you know the topic/equation/etc, e.g. using red for something you don't know, yellow if you kind of understand and green if you are positive, confident and remember it.
  • Turn off any distractions, I normally fail this step but it's you can to move to another room or ask your mum/dad to keep your distractions.
  • Take breaks! Revising for 3 hours straight won't work efficiently, take 10 minute breaks once and now again. grab some fruit or a drink. I would say don't go on any distractions, like going on your phone, you'll end up not wanting to revise again, trust me, this has happened to me several times. You can either just sit back or go on a small walk!
  • Exercising really helps to de-stress. You don't have to run an hour everyday, or go to the gym, you can do some yoga or go on a walk everyday. This really helps me as it clears my brain and makes me feel really calm.
  • Pretend you are a teacher! Get your mum, sister or brother or even do it by yourself; pretend you are the teacher and ramble all about the topic, I haven't much of this technique but it's worth giving it a go right?!
  • Place notes around the house, this step really helped my sister for her GCSE's, laminate some notes, take it in the bath or shower with you, this may sound weird but you will get a lot more revision done in that way.

2. Set a timetable
Now you've made your notes but before you get stuck in revising, set a timetable for each day and write what you will revise, you will be less tempted to get distracted. This will also make you feel more organised and get things done. Once you have done something, tick it off and you will be relieved!

3. DO NOT REVISE THE NIGHT BEFORE
This won't really apply to GCSE's but this applies for any test. I never get anything out of revising the night before, revise 2 days AT LEAST before the exam! I can't state how important it is, you will get more out of it if you revise a couple days before. I know revising is a pain but if you revise well, you will get a good kick out of it.

Hopefully these 3 tips helped! Good luck on any tests you may have, try your best! Trying your best is all that matters. Have a wonderful day you lovely lot x

Cruelty-Free Makeup

Unfortunately, many makeup brands are still testing on animals.

This is a very controversial subject to talk about, but in my opinion it is so easy to start using cruelty free brands, it would be a better benefit for the animals and you too, making you feel a better person. It may be hard to do this at first, however, would you really want to use a product where poor bunnies has been caged up to be tested on? I sound like a freak but trust me, these animals don't deserve to be treated like this.

Finally, I got that off my chest, I will be focusing on a few brands that are cruelty free, there are many brands that do not test on animals; I am sure a google search will lead to so many brands that are cruelty free.

If you want to check if a product is cruelty free, most cruelty-free products will indicate that it has not been tested on animals.

Brand no.1 NYX
Oh my, I love NYX makeup so much! The quality of the products are amazing and they are affordable too. This brand is available at Boots.

I will start off with the 'Love in Paris' eyeshadow palette, this palette has a lot of nude and shimmery colours which is perfect to wear everyday. The shadows blend perfectly and there are so many looks you can create with these!
Not only do I use these for my eyes, I use the middle shade for my eyebrows.

Brand no. 2 Too Faced
Too Faced is a little pricey but their products are so incredible and pigmented. I also have to mention that their packaging is an A*, I love how unique their products and it's so different from any other brand.

I love the 'Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar' palette. I have to mention that it even smells like chocolate! I also think some of their products are even edible, not that I would eat it but I guess it would be useful for survival situations. ;)
I am not brave enough to use the daring blue shade but I love how varied this palette is.

Brand no.3 Lush
I love how Lush promotes that products shouldn't be tested on animals and spreads awareness. I would suspect many of you wont know this but their YouTube channel has short videos about the animal testing, looking after the animals and it is rather interesting to find out!

I have tried many products from Lush, their products are just so magical!

I love their bath bombs, it is such a spectacular in the bath and there are so many scents to choose from and there is something for everyone. You can't forget about the bubble bars too! I love the really sweet scents, like the 'Snow Fairy' scent, that's why the Candy Mountain is one of my all time favorite products!

I also have to give voice about their skincare, I feel as if their skincare is underrated and their Tea Tree Water toner has really helped my skin! I use the toner after cleansing my face and it helps out with my spots and calms my skin down.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post! Have an amazing day you stunning lot. x

Q & A!

Welcome to my first blog post! I thought that I could start this blog with a Q & A post so you can get to know me! These questions are all from Twitter.

Oh and Happy Valentine's Day! All I've done is stuffed my face with chocolate whilst watching Netflix, #noshame. I should really get started on this post...

1. What is your dream job?
Well, I actually have no idea what I want to be when I am older, and it does kinda stress me out as I don't know if I want to go to the creative side of jobs or the science-y way. Before I ramble on, it would have to be a makeup artist for west end shows or films. I love doing my makeup, collecting makeup and basically anything to do with makeup; doing it as a job would be amazing!

2. What is your all time favorite quote?
I love a lot of quotes, they really inspire me. But if I had to choose one, it would have to be "Just say yes", remarked by Zoe (Zoella). Now you may be thinking that this is so basic or whatever, but honestly this quote inspires me to reach out for opportunities, making new friends and just enjoy life!

3. What's your biggest piece of advice you would give to your future children?
I would tell my children to not worry so much over everything and take up opportunities you find. The reason I say this is because I still stress out over these things, worrying over everything is pointless if I have to be upfront. Worrying if you get a dance move wrong won't matter, go up there and do it in confidence to be quite frank, if you are more confident you are likely to do well than bottling up your apprehension.

4. Best moment in life so far?
I visit a lot of countries with my family and every place I have been to has been a blast, however meeting Zoe Sugg and Tanya Burr are the memories I will never forget. I remember squealing in the queue with excitement and meeting lovely people who share the same love as me, it was amazing!
At Zoe's signing, I remember waking up super early, jumping around the room with content knowing this would be the best day of my life! I sound like an emotional wreck but that is the life of the fangirl...

5. What inspired you to start a blog?
Many things inspired me to start a blog, someone on twitter called 'Zoe' (not Zoella) has recently started a blog and it made me want to start one! I love sharing my love with people and to do it on here is just amazing, hopefully I will make incredible friends through this blog.

Hopefully you will enjoy this blog! I have good ideas of some up-coming posts, have a lovely day you gorgeous lot. x
